As a leading company of organic agriculture in Turkey, Rapunzel has started the first organic projects in Turkey in 1986 with the sultana projects. The production has been kept on in suitible ecologies with suitible products and it has been achieved to 4285 ha area, 422 producers and a range of 25 different kinds of products by the year 2007.

During the past 21 years Rapunzel has payed great attention on the projects which were the basics of the organic production and realised its own organic projects. In order to provide the technical development of the projects and supply the necessary technical support to the producers, Agricultural Projects Department has been founded. Technically experienced Agriculture Engineers are serving as Agricultural Consultants for all of the producers in all over Turkey.

All the necessary organic inputs which are required by the producers are supplied and delivered by Rapunzel. (organic chemicals, organic manure, seeds, etc..)

During the production period, biological traps are placed in the project centers and are controlled periodically by the Porject Consultants. After the trap controls organic chemicals are used during the necessary durations.

In order to provide training to the producers in the Project Centers, Producer Training Meetings are organised especially during the winter time, when the work instensivity of the Project Consultants is low. These trainings are not only organised for the producers, but also for the producer wives and families at the village centers.

Demonstrative aimed productions are realised at the project centers, in order to provide the introduction of new agricultural applications and technics to the producers. Thus the producers are adapting and accepting the innovations more easily as they see them by themselves.

Project regions are also supported socially. Afforestation studies and supplying computers to the schools are two simple examples.

During special periods some of the leader producers from all over Turkey are chosen and sent abroad. The main aim of these trips is providing the Turkish producers the opportunity to observe the organic agricultural applications in the European countries and also to build friendships between the producers of different countries. On the other hand these leader producers are forwarding their experiences in foreign countries to the other producers in their project regions when they come back to Turkey.

Rapunzel is building trials and developing projects with lots of Turkish and foreign research associations which last for several years. For example The Compost Center Project is realised together with FIBL Sweden and the first Organic Compost Center in Turkey is founded by Rapunzel. Another trial of Organic and Conventional Comparison since 9 years is still going on together with the participation of Menemen Research Institute.

Rapunzel, does not take the organic production as only a trading tool but also determines it as a life style. In this manner Rapunzel has realised the first Organic Village Project in Turkey. The first real Organic Village Project exists in Manisa/Salihli, which is one of the Project regions of Rapunzel, called Village Tekelioglu.
